A Scented Giveaway!
To kick off the month in high style, I’ll be giving away some fabulous scents. First off is the new offering from Badgley Mischka, Fleurs de Nuit. A value of $90, its wonderful retro floral will set the stage for a lovely summer date. All you have to do is be the lucky commenter who reads my original review of the scent, and comment there on your favorite retro, or retro-inspired perfume. To get you excited, here’s Elizabeth Arden’s description of the scent:
Glamorous – Fragrant as the evening air, white florals sparkle with bergamot and lush green notes
Vintage – Night-blooming jasmine and tantalizing lily nuzzle mouth-watering white peach for an iconic heart
Elegant – In the depth of the night, silky woods and glowing amber resonate for a captivating sensuality
The contest ends this Sunday, July 6 at midnight, EST. So be sure to get your entry in ASAP!

My vintage favorites are Patouli and Hawaiian white ginger. The Patouli with the woody scent always reminds me of those places of exotic meditation and The Hawaiian white ginger reminds me of the strong flowery scents of the iris flower. Those are my opinions.

Evelyn and Crabtree made a fragrance called Vetiver. It is sultry, musky, and warm. I purchsed 10 bottles when they said they would discontinue the scent. Other products use vetiver in their formulas, but nothing makes me think of elegant women in silk gowns, dashing men in evening jackets, sparkling crystal chandeliers, and bubbly champagne like the original Vetiver. I am so happy to have two bottles left.

I enjoyed reading your Review of Badgley Mischka, Fleurs de Nuit. It does sound like a fragrance I would like because I love very feminine scents that have soft floral notes. My favorite Retro Inspired Cologne is Lancome’s Tresor. It is so sensuous and romantic, and a bit alluring! Fleurs de Nuit appeals to me so much because any cologne that has floral tones to it works really well with my body chemistry. I love it when you are walking along and you smell so good that people notice and stop for a moment to look at you as you breeze by. If this has not happened to you, then you are not wearing the right scent for your body chemistry! Thank you SO much for offering this amazing giveaway!

When I was a pre-teen in the early 80’s I used to wear Love’s Baby Soft..it made me feel so grown up and then when I was a teenager I wore Charlie because the lady in the commercials was so sophisticated…and my first real expensive perfume was Anais Anais which smelled like something from the 20’s and 30’s.
