The Scented Life: All about fragrance

Abinoam Cobice

by Amy on May 29th, 2007

Cobice: Luxurious, exotic notes of Patchouli and Leather, juxtaposed with the sweetness of green apple and bamboo flower.

The green apple is at the front of this composition, backed up gently by the bamboo flower. It takes a few moments for the patchouli to show up at all, but it is there, fashionably late. The leather is in the shadows, very refined…more of a russian leather than cowboy boots or motorcycle jacket. I also get a hint of kaffir lime leaves, but maybe that’s because I had pho for dinner last night…I thought this would be very masculine, but it’s not at all! I really think this is a good daytime or office fragrance. The drydown is almost a soapy-cleanness, which is refreshing since patchouli scents can often go way south in that regard. My surprise favorite of the trio.
