Love it or Hate it? Estee Lauder Sensuous
Since it’s trying hard to be something other than a vapid fruity-floral, I knew I could appreciate Estee Lauder’s new perfume, Sensuous. Somehow it reminds me of something I wore in high school. The wood notes blend well with the musky, skin scent and the topnotes of light florals give way to amber/vanillas. I could compare it to Black Cashmere, but this fragrance is not “dark”. Let’s call it Beige Cashmere and you have it about right. The bottle is retro and should appeal to almost any aesthetic, which makes this a possible gift idea. At $69.50 for the 3.4 oz EDP, your money really does go quite a long way. If the economy’s got you down and you need to buy ONE fragrance for yourself this fall, I’d consider this one.
notes: ghost lily accord, magnolia, jasmine petals, molten woods, amber, sandalwood, black pepper, juicy mandarin pulp and honey.
