Perfume of the Day: Bois 1920 - Classic 1920
Today I gave this perfume a proper voyage, and did we ever go places.
The inital blast reminds me of CKOne. No lie! But the heart of green (Hatian Vetiver) and ambery base are so much more grown up and sexy than the youthful androgeny of CK1. I think it must be the cold weather, because I can’t get anything to stick around very long, even scents that have previously been long-wearing on me. But I still don’t hesitate to recommend this one for its balance of a few lovely notes in a complex composition. If you’re a guy searching for a scent that’s out of the ordinary yet still perfectly tasteful I’d strongly suggest to check this perfume house first. $160 for 100ml (I’m not crazy about the bottle, though).
From Luckyscent:
Classic 1920 can wake you right out of the day-to-day ho-hums, whatevers, oh you agains and yawns and goes straight into a fresh rhythm of I’m-cutting-loose-and-devil-be-damned elation with its crisp harmony of florals, resins and fruits. The fragrance is built in the wake of harmonious spicy notes that are smoothed n’ soothed by a complex floral element and elegant, zesty fruity nuances. At the end, the green and wood base notes of vetiver from Haiti and citron from China slide gently into the exotic enchantment of sandalwood from the Antilles and all is well in your world (and any lucky soul close enough to be close to you.)
Classic 1920 notes
Chinese citron, Haitian vetiver, Antilles sandalwood, amber
