Perfume of the Day: Brulure de Rose by Parfumerie Generale
I like rose scents, and I like oriental perfumes. How lucky for me that Brulure de Rose is a little bit of both. If ‘rose’ tends to evoke matronly, unpleasant images for you, I’d definitely sample this. It’s a heart of rose, wrapped in wood, smoke, a bit of amber and vanilla…. The sweet/smoky notes to this perfume are quite lovely, and I found myself sniffing repeatedly, then re-applying to experience the perfume unfolding on my skin over and over.
