Perfume of the Day: Dolce & Gabbana D&G Feminine
Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue is quite a popular fragrance even 6 years after it’s been released. D&G Feminine perfume was released two years earlier, in 1999. It’s almost a prototype for Light Blue, but more grown up and less populist. The woods and musk are much heavier, and the first moments are not especially “user friendly”. But I find it lovely just the same. The difference is that the citrus notes are overshadowed by the white florals. It’s got a lightly creamy, soapy quality. It’s not synthetic-y, but not exactly all-natural vibe either. I did a bit of research and the “nenuphur” could perhaps be a misspelling of nenuphar, a white waterlily. Makes sense, right?
The notes include:
Top Notes
Tangerine, Yuzu,
Middle Notes
Nenuphur, White Cyclamen, Green Pear, Ozone, Mimosa, Blue Wisteria, Lily, Mauve Heliotrope
Base Notes
*Musk, Vanilla, Sandalwood, Kashmir Wood ,
