Perfume of the Day: Dreaming by Tommy Hilfiger

Somehow, I expected this to be either very similar to Tommy Girl (it’s not) or Ralph Lauren Romance (not that, either). What we have here is a light, white floral with some very complimentary woods. The sample I have really doesn’t provide a whole lot of sillage, so I think this might be nice for summer or office wear. It’s just the slightest bit sweet from the tuberose and peach notes, but on the whole I’m very pleased with it. I think their attempt to capture a slightly more mature (and, presumably, wealthy) demographic with this one could pay off. The ad is quite lovely!
To wear this fragrance is to play it quite safe - there’s no cleavage, no white after labor day, no sex before marriage, etc. But I’d still place it well above most department-store level scents. Marie-Helene gives it an even more in-depth workout on The Scented Salamander.
