Perfume of the Day: Jessica McClintock

Here’s a throwback, courtesy of my sample bag. Jessica McClintock was a popular designer in the 1980’s and this perfume was introduced in 1987. The notes include lemon, basil, white rose, and white jasmine. It is a very light, feminine scent and considering the fashion faux-pas of the 1980’s, really hasn’t aged too badly. I also get hints of violet and lilac, making this a nice scent for a spring day. I think the modern equivalent of this would be Sarah Jessica Parker’s Lovely perfume. It may have been your signature scent at one point, and it’s worth revisiting, especially because it can be found very inexpensively at discounters like TJ Maxx and online at Amazon.com
