Perfume of the Day: Joy Comes from Within (Creative Scentualization perfumes)
At first whiff, I thought my nose was playing an olfactory pun on me (at my expense, of course). I tested this scent on my wrist and immediately got…Almond! Get it? Almond Joy? But a quick visit to The House of Creative Scentualization showed me I wasn’t imagining things or being made a fool of by my nose. This perfume does indeed have notes of almond, with the following as well:
…a festive and enveloping homage to the triumphant feeling of being confident in one’s own skin…Its spicy nutmeg top note, long revered for its ability to at once calm and revitalize, is accented with a sumptuous hint of almond. The fragrance’s single middle note of bright, euphoric orange blossom, like the dawning of a new day, rests gently on a warm, skin-enhancing base note accord of creamy vanilla, tonka bean and musk.
Thankfully, this is indeed a skin perfume, quietly joyous, instead of candy-bar sweet.
