The Scented Life: All about fragrance

Perfume of the Day - Les Nereides, Imperial Opoponax

by Amy on January 17th, 2008

This scent was PERFECT for today’s weather, which was cold and grey and occasionally snowy and then just wet.  Such a crowd pleaser, this grown up gourmand perfume will please citrus fans as well as fans of more decadent scents.  I really can’t say much more other than that it is just so…perfect.

Intensely resinous. Deeply sweet. Luxuriously warm. Impérial Opoponax smells like a cello sounds. A regal blend of sandalwood, amber, vanilla and, of course, opoponax, this is a profoundly sensuous scent. You want to let yourself sink into it – to be warmed by the hazy molten gold of late afternoon sun streaming through the window, to feel the glide of heavy satin across bare skin and to let your thoughts drift. Mesmerizing.

Imperial Opoponax notes
opoponax (sweet myrrh), amber, vanilla, sandalwood, benzoin, citrus
