Perfume of the Day: Polo Black
Ralph Lauren has been a mainstay in fashion and perfume for several decades - long enough for some of my earliest memories of “cute older boys” to be tinged with the scent of Polo Blue. Now, with the launch of Polo Black, another generation of little wanna-be hotties can get their smell on. It is similar enough to the Polo I remember, but indeed with a lot less freshness and a more subtle side. The scent is described as “A bold fusion of iced mango, silver armoise and patchouli noir.” On the skin it has a nice green quality tinged with earthiness. It’s certainly a cut above Cool Water!
And - the added bonus - the ad. I thought at first it was Christian Bale, but research reveals it to be Nacho Figueras, an Argentinian polo player. Too sexy!!!

Ooh la la - Nacho Figueras. If is is good enough for him, then it is good enough for me too - well, hubby, if he would only wear a scent.

Don’t you think he looks a LOT like Christian Bale? I don’t follow sports, so I had never heard of him. What a handsome latin lover he’d make - too bad he’s married with kids! :)

I was walking in a mall shortly after this ad first came out. There were a bunch of women (of all ages) gathered in front of one of the store windows, and I had to wander over to see what all the interest was about.
Nacho Figueras.
Had to confess to standing there looking for a few minutes myself!
