Perfume of the Day: Santa Maria Novella Vanilla Cologne

As you probably know, I love vanilla scents! They’re easy to wear and inoffensive. Problem is, sometimes they smell too much like cookies (distracting) or just fade away. Sometimes they lack complexity, but a simple fragrance can be a good thing in my opinion. The Vanilla Cologne is almost a pure vanilla…with some interesting herbal/spice basenotes that make it more lively. I love the rustic, antique packaging - the company’s been around since 1612, so they have every reason to keep it old fashioned. $96 for 100ml-Santa Maria Novella Vanilla Cologne
