Review: Archipelago Botanicals Body Creme, Soy Milk
Yes, Soy Milk is the fragrance name (its brothers are Rice and Oat Milk). It’s very lightly fragranced compared to many body butters, but the scent is both fresh and comforting. I’m more familiar with their line of candles, which are highly fragranced and often very fruity, so this is not really what I expected - but it is a pleasant surprise.
The body creme did wonders on my rough, dry elbows. It is thick and takes a bit of work to get it rubbed in, but the results are worth a bit of ‘elbow grease’. Archipelago says:
This award winning collection of personal care products contain dried milk solids and natural soy proteins, which combine to gently nurture and soothe the skin. A favorite among nutrition experts, soy extract is the perfect bath additive. The proteins, amino acids and lipids found in this high-powered bean allow for rapid hydration and cell regeneration.
It also contains jojoba and aloe vera. If you can’t spare the time or a cow to take your own milk baths like Cleopatra, this is probably the next best thing. But vegans, beware - even though it SAYS it has soy milk, the label lists nonfat dried milk, which I assume means dairy, not soy.
