Shower Gel: Splurge or Save, part 4
ShiKai Shower Gel is one of those products that I think has been pigeonholed due to the initial target market - health food store shoppers. Usually the earth-friendly values of the health-food store shopper outweigh more aesthetic concerns, and that’s perfectly fine. However, I think this product could be sold in any mass-market store and hold its own.
The formula is one of a small but growing number of products that don’t have sulfates (like sodium laurel sulfate and sodium laureth sulfate) and includes colloidal oatmeal which further soothes dry or sensitive skin. I love the Yuzu scent the best, but all of the seven fragrances would please even the most discerning nose. It rings up at about $8 for 12 ounces, higher than drugstore prices but the quality and fragrance make it worth the price.
