The Scented Life: All about fragrance

Tart of the Day: Old Virginia Candle Company Fresh Linen

by Amy on April 8th, 2007

I picked up a handful of these from AC Moore when I went to buy R.’s mom a gift certificate.  I’d heard good things about them but never really took the plunge.   However, I knew I must have made the right choice when I left one on my desk and it was scenting the room by itself, without being opened or warmed!

These wax melts are unusual - They are in a ‘clamshell’ style which means you can break them in half or use the whole thing. This makes it possible to mix and match scents, which is always fun.  .77 oz is smaller than I expected for a tart that costs around $1, but in this case good things come in small packages.  The scent was clean and inviting, and lasted 8-10 hours at least.  It also melted super quickly in my ramekin because of the large surface area of the tarts and my warmer.
