The un-floral floral: Creative Scentualization Light Comes from Within
As far as perfume notes go, jasmine is a funny one for me. I respect the jasmine. I admire the jasmine. I just…can’t really wear the jasmine. And thus, I approached this sample of Light Comes From Within by Creative Scentualization…with a bit of hesitation.
A few dabs of the perfume on a warm night proved me very wrong. Lead off by bergamot, honeysuckle, and other, more straightforward florals, jasmine is veiled and approachable. It hit me like a more floral version of Philosophy’s Amazing Grace or Pure Grace perfumes. I think it might be lovely layered with Perfect Veil.

Creative Scentualization’s Come From Within series is perfumer Sarah Horowitz-Thran’s desire to pay tribute to the phenomena of inner beauty. As an artist, Sarah has always strived to create fragrances that express the individuality of the wearer and entice those around them. These latest designs are no different, and are conceptually based on the powerful connection between the spirit, heart, and mind. Each fragrance is formulated to evolve differently on everyone, and can be worn alone or layered with the other fragrances in the trio for uniquely beautiful results.
Light is a sheer, luminous fragrance that celebrates new beginnings. Its sparkling bergamot top note introduces a captivatingly fresh middle note accord of freesia, honeysuckle and night blooming jasmine. Fresh oceanic musk and white cedar form a base note accord of subtle depth. This fragrance evokes dancing California sunlight, coastal air and more ethereal manifestations of nature’s beauty.
